Tungsten Carbide Tip
At Superior Saws, we use the state-of-the-art Vollmer CHX840 with an automatic loader to ensure precision sharpening of our customers’ circular saw blades. Every blade that comes in for service is individually inspected by our experienced staff. We clean the blade thoroughly, check the saw body for cracks or warping, and carefully examine each tip for damage or excessive wear. Damaged tips are replaced as needed before sharpening begins. With the CHX840, each tooth is resharpened to the manufacturer’s exact specifications, ensuring the blade performs like new when returned to you. This process guarantees longer blade life, cleaner cuts, and maximum efficiency in your production.
High Speed Steel Cold Saw
For cold saw blades, we rely on our Loroch automated sharpening system, designed specifically for the precision requirements of high-speed steel (HSS) and friction saw blades. Each blade is carefully cleaned and inspected by our team before sharpening. We check the blade body for stress cracks or deformities, and inspect the tips and gullets for wear or damage. The Loroch machine then delivers razor-sharp accuracy, restoring the original geometry of the blade with minimal material removal to extend its lifespan. This meticulous process ensures your cold saw blades are restored to peak cutting performance, reducing downtime and improving cut quality.
Precision Tool Resharpening on ANCA FX5
We also operate an ANCA FX5 CNC tool grinder, allowing us to professionally resharpen a wide range of cutting tools including drills, rotabroach cutters (mag drills), compression cutters, and end mills. Our process begins with a detailed inspection and ultrasonic cleaning to remove any built-up material and identify wear patterns or damage. Using the ANCA FX5’s advanced software and multi-axis grinding capabilities, we restore each tool’s geometry with extreme precision, optimizing cutting edges, relief angles, and flute profiles. This results in tools that cut like new—boosting tool life, reducing load on machines, and improving finish quality across all applications.
Segmental Circular Blades
We also offer expert resharpening and segment replacement for large segmental saw blades, handling diameters up to 1450mm. Each blade is thoroughly cleaned and inspected for damage, including cracks, wear, or missing segments. If segments are broken or worn, we replace them using premium Kinkielder segments — a trusted name in saw blade technology. Our technicians ensure every blade is restored to precise geometry and optimal cutting performance, making them ready for the most demanding industrial applications.
AUTOMATIC KNIFE GRINDER
We also operate an Automatic Knife Grinder, perfect for sharpening long straight blades used in guillotines, shears, chippers, and planer machines. Our machine ensures consistent, razor-sharp results across the entire blade length with precision-controlled grinding. Each blade is cleaned, inspected for chips or warping, and then ground to the correct angle to restore cutting performance. Whether it’s a single knife or a full set, we provide a fast turnaround and high-quality finish, helping extend the life of your tooling and maintain top-level cutting efficiency.
