Cobalt bandsaw blades (M42 bimetal) for cutting steel, stainless and structural sections, plus carbon blades for timber and blades for food processing. Every blade is welded to your exact length at our Smithfield NSW and Northgate QLD workshops and delivered Australia-wide.
As an authorised Amada distributor we stock the Amada range: SGLB, the most versatile blade from general steels to difficult materials; Cobalt 8 for mild and structural steel; Duos for thin-walled tube and light structurals; Magnum and Magnum Hi-Low for tougher jobs including stainless and die steels; Protector II to cut chipping and deburring; and Axcela G coated carbide. For timber we carry Dakin Flathers carbon blades, plus meat and fish blades for butchers and processors.
Why cobalt bandsaw blades?
A cobalt bandsaw blade has M42 high-speed-steel teeth (8% cobalt) welded to a flexible spring-steel back. The cobalt keeps the teeth hard at cutting heat, so a cobalt bimetal blade cuts faster and lasts several times longer than a carbon blade in mild steel, tube, structural sections and stainless. Amada SGLB and Cobalt 8 are our most popular cobalt bandsaw blades, and we weld coil to length for any metal-cutting bandsaw, from small portable saws to production machines.
